UPDATE: Okay, so I got some great advice and replies from fellow DA'ers, so I think I'm clear on the difference with vector, vexels, and mixed media. Unfortunately that means that most of my artwork isn't 100% vector, or a vexel, so I can't contribute to the groups I belong to
Argh, no matter what I do I never seem to get it right, is there anyone who can tell me what category to place my artwork in? I put a piece in Vexel, because it was a vector piece with a background texture, based on this statement in vexel gallery submission c) A vector piece (excluding gmesh) with raster elements (Textures, patterns, dropshadows, outerglows) But I'm told that my piece is a mixed media piece. See I thought that a photograph of a texture was a raster element, but I guess it's not, or is it? All you awesome group admins that watch me, could you help me just a little bit on this one, so I don't keep getting rejected.

I just wanted to reply to your update: Don't worry, I love mixed media! It gives more options to be endless creative!
And there are vector textures, maybe you can work with that?
