UPDATE: Okay, so I got some great advice and replies from fellow DA'ers, so I think I'm clear on the difference with vector, vexels, and mixed media. Unfortunately that means that most of my artwork isn't 100% vector, or a vexel, so I can't contribute to the groups I belong to I actually feel kind of hurt in a way, because all the groups out there are for vectors or vexels, but much of my work is considered mixed media, and nobody seems to like that. How disappointing
Argh, no matter what I do I never seem to get it right, is there anyone who can tell me what category to place my artwork in? I put a piece in Vexel, because it was a vector piece with a background texture, based on this statement in vexel gallery submission c) A vector piece (excluding gmesh) with raster elements (Textures, patterns, dropshadows, outerglows) But I'm told that my piece is a mixed media piece. See I thought that a photograph of a texture was a raster element, but I guess it's not, or is it? All you awesome group admins that watch me, could you help me just a little bit on this one, so I don't keep getting rejected.
