Microsoft Employees Disrupt Wii U Best Buy EventsRemember how Nintendo was showcasing some of their E3 games at participating Best Buy stores around the country? Well, apparently Microsoft employees have been hired to go to these events and preach about the Xbox One and make comments like "why would you buy a outdated Wii U when the Xbox One is right around the corner?"
However, the employees aren't getting what they hoped for. Most customers just start bashing the Xbox One in response. Seriously, Microsoft, the people attending these Best Buy Wii U events are people who are intimately familiar with the crap you pulled at E3. They ain't takin' your shit.
At first I thought this might just be a case of one really loyal Microsoft employee taking matters into his own hands (especially since the original source was /v/), but reports have come in from numerous Best Buy's around the country that indicate many Microsoft employees have ambushed the demo lines trying to persuade people to switch to the Xbox One.

Please Pants Responsibly (Paper Notebooks FTW)

There are two ways to write a novel. Plotting (you make an outline, a plan, a roadmap if you will, and then you sit down and write it) and pantsing (you write "by the seat of your pants, throwing caution to the wind). So when I get asked if I'm a plotter or a pantser, I'm all like er, uh, hold on, let me? Pantser? I think? But I kind of, um, do planny things?
And it gets kind of awkward because in these inarticulate moments I have managed to confuse everyone including myself. And probably spilled a drink.
In recent discussions, however, I've had a bit of a revelation, silly as it is. I've realized that I -- like many writers -- am a plotter/pantser hybrid. And perhaps what I'm doing is something we could call Pantsing Responsibly. And, maybe, just maybe, I could share some of my responsible pantsing tips with other writers. Starting with paper notebooks.

The Used Game ParadigmOver the course of this past generation I've been watching the video game market react to the way it's been forced to deal with increasing changes. I've come out against used game sales and even written a journal about boycotting GameStop because (like most people at the time) I believed they were the root cause of all the problems the video game industry has. But that's something I don't believe now as intently as i did then. From where I sit, piracy and used games sales are a problem, but not in the way game companies want us to believe that they are.
Used games are a good thing for consumers. We get to try games out, and if we don't like what we see or finish it early, we trade it in and try another title instead. It's a very good system for us since video game rentals are much harder to come by. So I had to just take the time out to first of all say, HOlY #$%& another DD. I logged on a few days ago to 1400 messages, and of course my first instinct was, damn it I got hacked and these are all angry deviants, but thankfully it was awesome news! Thanks so much to

for featuring my piece, it was truly unexpected! I want to say a big thank you to all those who stopped by to comment/fave/or watch. I got to all the comments, but I don't know if I'll be able to say thank you to every individual person who faved or watched, cause right now I'm up to 1800. I will see though, because I really do appreciate every fave and watch and I want everyone to know it.
On to other news, I recently finished a piece called "I Remember You" and after putting it up I'm still not sure if I'm happy with it, so I came to the decision to stop doing new stuff for awhile. No I'm not leaving, in fact I'm going to be doing even more work now, but I'm going to go back and finish all the artwork that never made it out of the starting line. So for all those watchers who like my vector and graphic work bare with me and I drag you through character illustration after character illustration. I just have so many unfinished characters that are waiting in my sketchbook to be colored. I'm also working on some commissions for some awesome deviants so I'll be plugging away on those too.
Hope you all enjoy taking this little trip into the past with me!
