Argh, I both love and hate Flash all at the same time. I've spent the past week frantically animating and programming a Flash site so that I have an updated portfolio for my self. Why am I doing it in Flash you ask? First, because then I can make the buttons all pretty and have animation, and second, because I know absolutely NOTHING about HTML, or how to make a website any other way. Trust me, if I knew how to do it the other way I would, cause it's a heck of alot easier in some cases, but that's just the way it goes! I'll be even happier when it's done and I can get back to some actual art. Also, I've been thinking about not doing anymore vectors using stock photography, mostly because there are usually rules about selling work outside of DA and I really want to get my art out there. What do you think, do you guys like my vectors? Should I give them up all together?
And I have the same problem about DA resources and their copyrights. Maybe you can try something else while still working on vectors once in a while. Giving up is such a waste. You have very good stuff. =[ Then again, maybe you'll find happiness in exploring new styles. So go for it! =]
In fact, I suck at making websites and dont have the patience to unsuck... thank you deviantart portfolio! You save me much computer thouwing out of window-ness.
Your vectors are always stunning, it would be nice if you could work your way around it, but I wouldnt stop using stock images to practice and blow peoples eyes out.
